Sandra Wadkin Artist At The Acorn Gallery, Pocklington

Sandra was born near Birmingham in the West Midlands. Her commercial art career started early when she started selling commissions of animals.

After time spent in retail management and in new homes construction, she studied Art and Design at college, going on to study for her degree in Fine Art.

Sandra has also exhibited successfully, winning art prizes such as the Aesthetica Magazine art prize in York and she has also shown at some larger venues, such as in the Coalesce exhibition at the Truman Brewery Gallery in London.

Sandra has been exhibiting and selling her work in local galleries for a number of years and most recently won the Stratford upon Avon Montpellier award for her fractured series.

Sandra’s work is influenced by her love of people watching and psychology. She works in series, producing work that is not only aesthetically interesting but also created in specific ways to make the viewer think about hidden meanings.
